Sullivan Homes Achievements
There are as many options as there are dreams, and at Sullivan Homes we believe there is a need to both meet the wishes of a client as well as working with our Australian environment.
We seek to draw out the ideas that clients have about their current and future needs, and to listen to their dreams of how their new home will be.
We also offer our specialist advice on what could be achieved through careful design, choice of materials, and attention to aspects such as landscaping.
The homes displayed here are a small sample of our work. We would be happy to discuss your dream for your ideal home.
North Region MBA Awards
Winner, Best Multi Unit Development
'Omagh', Shepparton
This townhouse development was designed to resemble a village and courtyard. This required each of the five townhouses to have different floor plans and have external shapes and colours that were distinctly individual, but nevertheless compatible with each other.
The sizes varied from three bedroom townhouses of 14.1 squares, to two bedroom townhouses of 12.85 squares. Each townhouse has a huge kitchen, spa bath and large showers.
Achieving high energy efficiency was an important consideration, and this resulted in a number of features including no west facing windows, ceiling insulation, installing 3 star dishwashers, 4.5 star Rinnal energy saver heaters and Dux gas hot water systems.
Even the landscaping plants were chosen for environmental concerns and all are drought resistant varieties.

North West Region MBA Awards
Runner Up, Best Display Home $100,000 - $130,000
Rusticana Court, Mildura
The extremes of Mildura's climate, frosty winter mornings and 40C summer heat, was the main dilemma tackled in the design of this home.
This house was designed to achieve the benefits of natural light without the intense heat or the chilling cold that unprotected areas of glazing can allow.
The result: large glazed areas throughout and strategically-placed verandahs to make this a perfect home for Mildura's diverse climate.
A Place in the Sun
The term 'multiple housing' has, in the past, conjured up visions of institutional-style buildings with little architectural merit.
However, these three home units offer their occupants space and privacy in a carefully-considered environment.
The homes are screened from one another by fences and strategically-placed double carports.
Each plan has spacious living areas, 2 bedrooms with floor to ceiling robes, a full-sized kitchen with pantry and full-sized bathroom.
Externally, the façade is a sandstone-coloured brick with terracotta quoining, grey tiled roof and terracotta brick paved verandah for outdoor living.
The homes have been sited on an irregular-shaped block to take maximum advantage of winter sunshine.
Rooms with a View
The newly-wed owners of this home were seeking a quality house which would take full advantage of the elevated rural home site and would fall within their budget.
The result was a Sullivan Homes design which fully exploited the pleasant rural outlook, and a spacious home which is affordable to first home buyers.
The house is instantly appealing from the street with its superb colour co-ordination of brick trim and roof, and the bull-nosed verandah which also shields the lounge windows from the often-fierce afternoon sun.
The kitchen has enormous bench space and large picture windows to take advantage of orchard views, while a timber bi-fold door opens to reveal a surprisingly-large formal lounge.
From the family areas, a short passage gives access to the second and third bedrooms.
